Earth Day Peace Prayer

 

In what small places
upon the earth
might we find peace?

Humans find a sense
of peace in nature.

Animals have been known
to find peace with humans.

A baby knows peace
when its basic needs are met.

Love brings peace
to the human heart.

Peace is found
in an act of kindness.

We find peace
when we are honest.

Peace comes when we
have fulfilled our obligations.

Peace can be found
in the arms of one's God.

Our earth knows peace
in the same ways.

She is our mother,
the fertile soil
where peace grows.

Let us pray together,
that all will come to know,
the earth as their shared home,
the place where peace may grow.
