Excellent views of the  quite famous Mt. Wai'ale'ale are available from the property. Fresh fruit is often available for the picking as well.  We have jabon [Chinese grapefruit], oranges, lemons, limes, kumquat, coffee and banana that are producing fruit, and papaya, starfruit, lychee and avocado that have not yet reached maturity.   Photos From the Property

This is a smoke-free and fragrance-free zone. Our usual activity here is to conduct spiritual retreats, and many of our guests are environmentally and chemically sensitive, as are we. We thus strive to clean and maintain the buildings and property here with a minimum of chemicals and artificial fragrances. As such, we do not allow burning of incense, smudge, sage or moxsa inside the buildings, and prohibit smoking of all sorts indoors AND outdoors. The cottage is kept exceptionally clean and in good repair, and is a very pleasant place to stay. We make a portion of our spiritual retreat accommodations time available to non-retreatants. Rates listed on this page are the non-retreatant rates, you rates as a vacationer or as a friend or family member of a local person living on the island. We ask that our guests remain peaceful and quiet at all times to preserve the quality of the experience on the property for all. Children and pets are not allowed unless you receive special written permission from us to bring them, and there could be additional costs involved. Up to 2 extra persons [for a total of 4] can stay here. The 2 extra persons sleep on the combination sitting-sleeping benches in the living-dining area. These are quite comfortable, and long enough for people up to about 6' 4" tall. We have regular twin bedding and sleeping pillows and blankets for those times that extra guests stay at Pihanakalani Cottage. Please note when checking the availability calendars, the bookings for the Aloha Guest Room are for our spiritual retreat guests ONLY. We do not make the Aloha Guest Room available to vacationers.
